Madonna to team with Cirque du Soleil at Super Bowl

There is not much Madonna has not done in the course of her career, but she will watch one of the things on her list of February 5, performing at halftime of the Super Bowl.
It was announced during the Sunday football game between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions that Madonna will perform on the Super Bowl, scheduled for Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Madonna’s directed, wrote and produced a film called “WE” that will open nationwide Feb. 3, two days before the Super Bowl.

Song of the Day: ‘Killing Floor,’ Hubert Sumlin and David Johansen

A gentle soul who was responsible for some of the toughest blues guitar licks ever played, Hubert Sumlin died on Sunday, at the age of 80. Sumlin grew up in Mississippi and Alabama and rose to fame in the Chicago blues scene, backing Howlin’ Wolf, but has lived in Totowa in recent years, and died in Wayne, of heart failure.Sumlin was a revered member of the New York/New Jersey blues scene, and over the past decade musicians here, and elsewhere, have presented many benefits to help him with his medical bills.
